The Old City walls are something else
Walking the city walls above the Adriatic was the highlight of the whole trip. The views are just unreal. Stradun is busy but still beautiful, and the seafood at the small places tucked off the main street is genuinely great. Glad we came.
Perfect summer coastal getaway
The water around Lokrum Island is so clear it almost looks fake. We took the short ferry over and it was one of the best decisions of the trip. Old town is packed in summer but still worth every bit of the crowd. The prstaci (local shellfish) were absolutely delicious.
Old town totally lived up to the hype
Stradun at golden hour is genuinely one of the prettiest streets I've ever seen. The whole old town is walkable and every corner has something worth looking at. Food was fresh and the portions were big. Didn't feel rushed at any point during the stay.
Great city for history lovers
The old city walls alone are worth the trip. We spent a lot of time just exploring the lanes behind Stradun - way quieter and full of little cafes and local shops. The Rector's Palace is worth a look too. Really well preserved city overall.
Cable car views are insane
Took the cable car up to Mount Srd and the panorama over the old town and the islands is just wow. Could have stayed up there all day. The city itself is very walkable and the stone streets look amazing in the evening light. Plave skoljke (mussels) from a harbor spot were a highlight too.
A city that actually delivers
Came with high expectations and left even more impressed. The old walls, the sea, the food - it all comes together really well. Banje Beach is close to the old town and the water is clean and calm. Great place for a short break, easy to get around on foot.
